An Amazing Clinic in Southern California
At first glance, you would not think that Dr. Suzanne Frye was a chiropractor. One would think she is too petite, that she would not be strong enough to adjust a large or muscular person. Her unassuming manner would more likely lead you to believe that she might be a wonderful wife and great mom (which she is).
The truth about Dr. Suzanne Frye is that she is the chiropractic director of A.V. Spinal Care. Dr. Frye, along with a team of seasoned professionals have developed a clinic in Lancaster, California that has a reputation for helping people who thought they could not be helped. The clinic focuses on back pain, neck pain and the associated conditions like herniated and bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, sciatica and other radiculopathies.
Over the last few years, Dr. Frye and her team have scoured the country for treatments that work. They have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in technology, and sent staff to study different techniques and therapies all with one mission: To help the back or neck pain sufferer who could not be helped.
While her clinic draws most of it’s patients from the surrounding communities of Palmdale, Quartz Hill, Rosamond, Tehchapi and Acton, AV Spinal Care has attracted patients from as far away as San Diego, Nevada and Arizona. Many of her patients come from nearby Edwards Air Force Base or Plant 42. It is not uncommon for patients to come to Lancaster and spend 4 to 6 weeks with a relative or even in a hotel to get the pain relief they are looking for.
The clinic is focused on non-surgical treatment, helping patients that want to avoid surgery and a life of medications or pain pills. Some of the specialty treatments utilized in addition to chiropractic and the more standard physical therapy (like McKenzie, Neuro Muscular Re-education, Core Stabilization) include Vertebral Axial Distraction (using a DRX9000 or DRX9000C), Rossiter and Hakomed).
While helping patients who are in constant pain has been a mission, Dr. Frye and her team of chiropractors also helps a lot of patients with the normal headaches, pinched nerve, whiplash and back pain. She has specialized techniques for pregnant women and children. Her clinic is frequently voted “AV’s Best” by the Local Newspaper, the Antelope Valley Press. She is perhaps best known by her patients who speak on the radio about how she helped them relieve their pain or headaches. Most people know her by her philosophy: “I am gentle and I care”.
